Madame Wa Nairobi

From the slay queens to the baby girls to the sponsor babes… The young girls of Nairobi have been slandered and shamed for just existing **pretends to be shocked**. Often depicted as calculating, shallow and only here to get flewed out- like that’s a gender specific goal or something. A redemption was needed…

Madame wa Nairobi is an editorial inspired by the young women of Nairobi, the statement directly translates to the women of Nairobi. There is a way in which young Nairobi women carry themselves when out in public, they dress up in ways that are memorable, have a carefree vibe about them and they need all the flowers!

In this editorial, we wanted to express feeling good in one’s femininity and how that evolves into sisterhood. Women have too often been told to look at each other as competition but the fact remains that no one rides harder for the girls than the girls- cc every Twitter thread that called out a perpetrator.

We chose to center it around a night out to make it realistic, cause it’s still Nairobi and huku Nairobi we like to party
